PagerDuty is seeking an Event Marketing Manager to join our diverse, customer-focused team! This role will report directly to the Director of Event Marketing for North America within the Corporate Marketing department. As the Event Marketing Manager, you will be a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, leading the planning and execution of both PagerDuty hosted and 3rd party sponsored events. You will be responsible for developing our event and trade show strategy to ensure alignment with PagerDuty’s V2MOMs, and have a proven track record of successfully partnering with GTM teams to achieve revenue-based goals through integrated event programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and executing large-scale events that contribute to pipeline creation, expand customer acquisition, and grow the PagerDuty brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Develop and implement comprehensive event and trade show strategies aligned with the company's marketing and business objectives.

Oversee the planning and execution of event programs across both hosted and 3rd party sponsored events, including logistics, vendor management, staffing, and on-site management

Collaborate with cross-functional marketing, sales, and product teams to align on event objectives and create impactful experiences.

Source and manage vendor and agency relationships as it pertain to event planning and execution: vendors, venues, booth partners, design, video, and more

Develop enablement tools and resources to empower Sales and Customer Success teams to hit registration targets and achieve executive meeting goals

Monitor and evaluate event performance against key metrics, collecting and analyzing data to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

Communicate event plans, progress, and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 7 years of previous experience in a marketing, sales, or customer-facing role within a fast-growing organization

5+ years experience in B2B event management with proven experience leading, project managing, and executing large multi-faceted events

A data-driven approach to decision-making utilizing Salesforce, Tableau, or similar tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Incredible organization and project management skills to manage multiple events tasks, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously

Clear and effective communication skills to interface with team members, stakeholders, vendors, and attendees.

Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and rally project teams.

Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, including evaluation of event performance against key metrics for learnings and optimization

Proficiency in G-Suite, Salesforce, Tableau, Splash, Cvent, Asana, or Monday

Experience managing budgets and forecasting spend

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships and contracts

The base salary range for this position is 120,000 - 187,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
