The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data center design and construction. The role requires leading a multi disciplinary team with a diverse set of stakeholders through all the design milestones including issuance of construction drawings (IFC).Post IFC responsibilities include providing design support through construction administration, bulletin management, and close-out. This requires building matrixed teams from internal/external design subject matter experts to ensure high quality design and applicable client processes are being implemented. The Design Project Manager will independently facilitate the creation of a shared plan for execution and ensure oversight of construction administration services provided by the external design team (in support of construction activities).

What you’ll doManage and incorporate client provided program design standards into local projectlevel to capture and configure for complete construction documentationCoordinate design activities with teams from design, site services, procurement, and constructionFacilitate large scale workshops and kick off meetingsFacilitate change management in partnership with program leadership as well as internal and external stakeholdersPrepare scopes of work for contracts and secure alignment with internal stakeholdersManage basis of design, localizations, as well as administer ongoing design changes throughout the projectReport project metrics to leadership regarding schedule, cost, scope, risks and open issues and risksProvide design support of Owner Furnished Equipment to ensure submittals and RFI’s are rigorously managed on each projectEnsure the issuance of Engineering Bulletins (design changes) to the right party, at the right time, in the right format

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related fieldProfessional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) is strongly preferred or significant professional experience (+10 years) may substituteApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the futurePrior experience with data center design and/or construction preferredExamples of design and/or construction of acceptable non-data center projects:Healthcare (hospitals)Large commercial (highrise)LaboratoryManufacturing Facilities (fabs, etc)High Power (power plants, etc)Facilities with complex power, HVAC, and water/wastewater infrastructure and equipmentPreferred experience:

Familiar with BIM360 and ACC concepts and interfaceExperience drafting scopes of workExperience in understanding local judicial building regulationsExperience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
