We are looking for a self-starting, team-orientated, and passionate Product Marketing leader to own the positioning and messaging strategy for Slack’s self-service motion. You and your team will work closely with the Slack product and growth marketing teams to optimize the way customers sign up and onboard into the product. The ideal candidate will have a passion for navigating ambiguity, driving clarity, influencing, and potentially managing a team.

You will have demonstrable expertise in all areas of product marketing — product positioning & messaging, planning and segmentation, customer & competitive intelligence, etc. You will have experience in building scalable programs and demonstrate the ability to drive cross-functional alignment. Strong presentation skills, executive presence and ability to deal with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Lead your team to define differentiated, clear and customer-centric narrative, value props, positioning and messaging.Develop, package, and deliver relevant material, making it easy for customers and prospects to understand our product offeringsMap out the the Slack. buyer’s journey and produce high-quality content that supports marketing campaignsYou’ll look at everything the Product Marketing team produces with the lens of the customer to help drive growth.Drive the creation and delivery of thought leadership content, webinars, blogs, events, and case studies to drive the message.Confidently deliver presentations to audiences of all sizes.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

Required Skills

8+ years of experience in product marketing, sales, or go-to-market backgroundExperience leading and inspiring a team of marketers.Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to executive leaders, cross-functional partners, and customersExpertise in creating strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and align with global stakeholdersAbility to create a range of marketing assets (including on-message product demo videos, sharp succinct slide pitch-decks in Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint), product data sheets.Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as a consistent track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging and positioning for technology products.

Preferred Skills

Experience with the Salesforce products and/or other SaaS and B2B technology platforms preferredGet-it-Done confidence to pick up and lead new projects even in the face of ambiguityA winning attitude that inspires optimism, fun, and the desire to always be learning!

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $190,800 to $320,800.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
