Murdock Collection, one of the premier collections of American art. With the Edward Larrabee Barnes facility, American Alliance of Museums accreditation, $4 million annual budget, staff of approximately 24 full-time, 30 part-time, and a corps of 100+ volunteers, the museum is a public-private partnership, owned by the City of Wichita and managed by the nonprofit Wichita Art Museum, Inc.WAM’s Mission Statement voices the museum’s commitment to proactively engage the community in conversations about the visual arts and American cultural experience. A premier American art collection, excellent exhibitions, and compelling programs reflect and respond to Wichita’s diverse audiences.
