Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Directs and guides the activities of a team or teams of employees performing sales, sales support, and marketing for the designated organization sub-part.Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness.Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies. Accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets.Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.May lead a collaborative effort among members of a project team.Other job duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.Experience and Skills:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a minimum of 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PHD with a minimum of 6 years’ experience.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Office/open cubicle environment.Shop floor environment.Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: As neededJob Benefits:Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance CoverageLife/ADD & Short/Long Term Disability Insurance401(k) Savings PlanEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Paid Time-Off (PTO)HolidaysEducation Reimbursement
