We take our video seriously, and we take great pride in doing it as one team.Position OverviewThis position leads strategy, planning and execution of Brightcove’s internal and external communications. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer this role will work closely with product marketing, head of strategy and the Chief Product officer to create differentiating messaging that drives company awareness and thought leadership. This role will lead public relations, analyst relations and internal communications functions to ensure these messages are executed creatively and consistently. In addition this role will partner with the CMO to lead CEO and other executive messaging platforms and with the CFO for investor relations activities. The individual will be a skilled communicator with a track record of creating messaging programs that have driven audience buy-in both internally and externally.This individual will excel at the fundamentals of understanding the audience, the competition and creating thought provoking and creative campaigns. An exceptional writer and verbal communicator this role will have a significant impact on company positioning and board presentation.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop thought leadership messaging frameworkDevelop and implement strategic endpoint analyst relations plans in alignment with company portfolio and growth objectives.Drive analyst awareness of Brightcove and significantly expand analyst understanding and support of our differentiation and value propositions.Collaborate with Marketing, Product Marketing, executives, and other cross functional teams to build and execute strategic plans.Lead the public relations agencies globally - set metrics for success and ensure the brand awareness grows and ROI on PR spendAssist the executive team with board level and investor presentationsAssist the CFO with quarterly earnings calls and investor relations presentations and messagingCreate a messaging platform and communication plan for senior level executives including the CEOWork with the CPO and the CMO to create internal communications plan including the ownership of town hall meetings and all hands callsLead the team of Communication professionals, currently 2-4 peopleBring deep experience and a successful track record of participation in major analyst research as well as key business press and conferencesProvide feedback on content and messages. Prepare spokespeople for engagements.Manage reporting, results analysis and distribution of all key communications metrics to bring key insights and efficiency to the organization.Advise senior leaders and internal teams competitive messaging and industry trends.
