ROLE CONTRIBUTIONS

Drive the design process by collaborating closely with internal teams, prioritizing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and accountability. Ensure all projects reflect the latest trends in Interior Design and adhere to specific hotel brand standardsLead the Interior Design Program, aiming to educate and influence stakeholders about our hotel brand offeringsCollaborate with the Global Senior Vice President and Luxury Creative Director to foster a strong, cooperative workflowDeliver compelling presentations to various organizational levels, including top executives and stakeholders, securing approval for design initiativesWork with internal teams to devise innovative, budget-friendly strategies that support the strategic expansion goals of our brandsGuide the team through data-driven platforms like Oasis and Sonar, providing essential updates that facilitate business operationsDevelop and oversee marketing strategies with business unit leaders to enhance brand recognition and drive development within existing and potential marketsUtilize industry expertise to secure and expand business relationships with owners and franchiseesServe as the primary contact for owners and franchisees, ensuring top-tier service and effective problem resolutionUpdate and advise stakeholders on brand standards and design initiativesOversee the development and refinement of business processes, ensuring they meet current needs and implementing changes when necessaryRepresent the brand at high-profile events like conferences and trade shows, embodying the company's commitment to luxury and qualityDevelop and manage project and department budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibilityFoster strategic relationships to bolster the influence and reach of MI Interior Design servicesMatch department resources with team capabilities and project demands, optimizing performanceSupport project management teams during construction to ensure standards of quality, budget, and schedule are maintainedConduct regular reviews of team performance, providing feedback and fostering professional growthImplement Property Improvement Plans (PIPs), coordinating closely with all relevant parties

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

Over 12 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on the hospitality sectorPreferably experienced in luxury hospitality settingsAdept in identifying and leveraging new trends and innovations within and outside the industryStrong business insight and ability to solve complex problems creativelyProven ability to establish and maintain effective cross-departmental relationshipsOutstanding customer engagement and negotiation skillsExceptional organizational capabilities with the capacity to handle multiple projects and resourcesAdvanced communication, project management, and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team environmentSolid foundation in interior architecture and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a recognized program in interior design is highly preferredMinimum 12 years of design experience, ideally within the hospitality industryNCIDQ certification or membership in a professional association is advantageousEquivalent professional experience may also be considered
