Summary

The Director of Marketing, working directly with the Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for developing and directing all Casino marketing and advertising programs to positively affect Casino patronage and profitability. The Marketing Director also coordinates with the Community Liaison and other Tribal entities to ensure all Tribal enterprises are well represented in the surrounding communities.

Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop and direct marketing staff to execute tactical marketing plans to fulfill the Casino’s business strategies.Develop and/or manage in-house and external promotions, guest rewards programs, events, and advertising logistics.Lead partnership with marketing firms, as designated from time to time, to design, develop, and deploy media campaigns.Track and analyze marketing database systems to monitor marketing activities, utilization, market saturation, event/promotion success, and ROI of all promotions, events, and media to forecast future performance, adjusting plans to secure desired results as needed.Direct research efforts, both qualitative and quantitative and analyze results to create and/or adjust programs to effectively drive marketing success.Establish and manage online media presence and activities to educate and engage guests with Casino promotions and events.Ensure all public/community communications and events are coordinated with other Tribal entities and Tribal Community Liaison, collaborating to present a cohesive representation of the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians and Soboba Casino.Demonstrate positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.Formulate and administers department budget, establish annual financial targets, performance objectives, and develop staffing plans to efficiently meet department goals.Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, gaming regulations, and internal controls.Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly and indirectly manages a team of 35 plus team members, supervisors, and managers in the Marketing & Advertising, Promotions, and Events Player Services, and Event Ticket Sales to include staff planning, recruiting, selection, performance appraisals, performance management, and providing direction and oversight to teams in accordance with Casino policies, procedures, and applicable laws.Education / Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age, or older.High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred or, relevant experience.Two (2) plus years casino marketing management experience, required.Five (5) or more years marketing experience, required.Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication.Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.Certificates, licenses and registrations

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.Soboba Casino Resort Benefits
