The Communications and Marketing Manager manages all marketing and communications activities of the Tulane School of Science & Engineering (SSE). The position requires excellent writing and graphic design skills, and works with school leadership to make sure all communications align with school, center, and university branding.

The Communications and Marketing Manager directs the management and creation of all digital and physical publications and documents, the SSE and affiliate websites, and social media. This position is also responsible for analyzing the performance of the school and center's marketing and communications efforts and identifying new opportunities and creating plans for improvement. The position will work with additional Tulane University divisions such as alumni relations to ensure that SSE's communications and marketing are driving revenue by way of helping to grow philanthropic endeavors, industry partnerships, and raising the SSE profile amongst peer organizations and prospective students & faculty.

Knowledge of business and marketing processes.Excellent written communication and editorial skills.Demonstrated project management skills.Demonstrated organizational/interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative manner.Ability to multi-task, and prioritize work assignments.Proficient computer skills with knowledge of applications applicable to the responsibilities of the position such as Adobe Creative Suites, InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator.Knowledge of digital marketing and supporting strategies.Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in marketing, communications or other closely related field

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Experience in marketing and/or communications in higher education, or relating to science & engineering industry.Experience coordinating newsletters and placement of content in print & online publications.Supervisory experience.
