Under the direction of Director, Marketing Services, the Manager, Creative Services is responsible for making a dynamic and direct impact on the creative and technical development and implementation of our overall brand and digital presentations across various platforms. Responsible for the creative strategy while also contributing in the direction of the traditional marketing, production and design, and advertising initiatives for Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel and the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. The ideal candidate will also assist with demographic research, developing creative briefs and creating design concepts to meet the business objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Accomplish marketing and organization vision by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and building team leaders. Meet company standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational challenges; identifying workflow process improvements. Monitor expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.

2. Ensure brand identity and integrity through the creation and development of traditional marketing materials, database marketing content. Create and develop visual concepts and digital content to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.

3. Adhere to established marketing and organization procedures by creating, submitting and uploading design files, and adhering to brand guidelines. Conceptualize and create intuitive, engaging and brand consistent user interfaces, taking into consideration internal and external customer user differences.

4. Determine project content by reviewing and approving creative digital materials, design and copy materials developed by team members. Collaborate with other areas of marketing, copy writing, digital, and production departments to outline presentation concepts and develop creative initiatives.

5. Develop basic presentation approaches by reviewing materials and information presented by clients. Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; recommending changes to design, copy writing, and production departments.

6. Manage digital content distribution to various enterprise platforms, assist in revising marketing plan by analyzing campaign results; and identify expansion opportunities.

7. Responsible for all interactive communication platforms, including but not limited to internal video distribution, website, social media, mobile applications, email, online advertisements, and other platforms as needed.

8. Supervise, manage and mentor Graphic Designers, Senior Graphic Designers, Interactive Graphic Designers, Media Content Producers, and photography projects. Assign projects and monitor workflow and progress to ensure on-time delivery of all work.

9. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required; concentration in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred.

4 years graphic design, interactive design, creative design experience required.

3 years supervisory experience required.

Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

Must have working knowledge of Mac OS and Windows Operating Systems with industry standard graphic design software including, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Cloud; Word Office Suite and similar programs.

Online (website) and offline (print) design experience required.

Interactive experience a plus including, internal lead development website, and :15 and :30 shorts with theatrical/television sensibilities.

Excellent typography skills are necessary.

Experience and understanding of motion graphic and video production software a plus including, but not limited to After Effects, Premier, Cinema 4D (or similar 3D software).

Production techniques, technical printing terminology, and advanced productions specifications is required.

Extensive experience in photography and use of photographic equipment is preferred.

Experience in strategic planning and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns preferred.

Employee must have experience demonstrating the utmost discretion as they will have access to private information such as Social Security Numbers, credit cards, personal data or financial data from colleagues, personnel or customers.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
