What is the job about?

As a part of the Senior Management Team with reference to the company CEO, the purpose of the Marketing and Communication Director is to define and own the corporate marketing and communication agenda for Peerless Pump by developing, deploying, and implementing marketing and communication strategies and roadmaps. The position is a new position with the task to bring a fresh set of eyes to the company to establish a transformative strategic marketing and communication agenda for Peerless Pump and build from scratch a high-performance team to deliver execution on this agenda. This position reports directly to the CEO and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Indianapolis facility.

Your main responsibilities

:

Strategic brand positioning:

Develop and deploy company-wide branding strategy with a clear brand promise, messaging, and activation through relevant channels.

Integrated marketing communication:

Drive consistent and cohesive brand messaging across all marketing channels including digital, print, PR, and events.

Content creation and thought leadership:

Develop and maintain content strategy and production calendar and oversee creation of high-quality, relevant content such as white papers, case studies, webinars, video, etc. in close collaboration with business units.

Trade shows and events:

Plan and executive a strategic approach to national and regional trade shows in collaboration with business unit leaders to support leadership, lead generation and brand visibility.

Digital marketing and analytics:

Guide the development and execution of digital marketing strategies and identify and implement marketing automation and analytics opportunities leveraging our marketing cloud platform with the aim to track and analyze customer data.

Communication Strategy:

Develop and deploy communication strategy to enhance Peerless’s brand reputation.

External/Internal Communication

: Oversee the creation of press release and other PR materials while ensuring a transparent and engaging communication culture within the company.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Scope and build a team of relevant marketing and communication specialists while promoting an innovative, collaborative, and results-oriented culture within the team and towards internal stakeholders.

Your background

:

We imagine that you have:

A master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field

7-10 years of experience in fields such as marketing, business/sales development, communication, etc.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the industrial sector (B2B/manufacturing) with exposure to complex, industrial value chains and go-to-market models.

A minimum of 3-5 years of people leadership experience

Broad experience for multiple marketing and communication disciplines such as content/campaign development, trade show execution, market research/surveys, customer journey creation, marketing analytics, etc.

A willingness to travel up to 10% if necessary. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
