As a Product Designer at BRM, you’ll be an early team member and play a critical role in shaping the current, and future product experience. You’ll join a small team and influence the direction of design and product. In this role, you’ll design and ship high-quality experiences and feel a sense of ownership throughout the process, with an emphasis on distilling complexity into simplicity. Equipped with the latest AI/LLM tools and technologies, you’ll design simple, elegant, and automagical solutions for our end-users, and ensure the scalability of our platform to accommodate a growing customer base. You’ll work directly with the co-founders, engineers, and other designers out of our office in San Francisco. What you’ll do

Design and ship high-quality experiences that meet the needs of our users, with a strong emphasis on simplicity and elegance.

You have a bias for action to balance moving quickly and building thoughtfully. You take ownership of the design process from conception to delivery, ensuring that each step reflects our commitment to excellence.

Partner directly with cross-functional partners, including the CEO and CTO, to translate vision into reality, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Utilize the latest AI/LLM tools and technologies to create automagical solutions that enhance the user experience and drive efficiency; you think “AI-first” when designing new features.

Ensure the scalability of our platform to accommodate our growing customer base, balancing performance with usability at every stage of the design process.

Who you are

Minimum 8 years of Product Design and User Experience; must have at least 5+ years of experience at a high-performing B2B enterprise software company.

You easily translate complexity into simplicity and ship simple, elegant, and informed solutions.

Sees BRM through the eyes of our customers; deeply understands the goals and needs of users.

You think in interactions, not static screens. You embody the belief that software is cohesive, magical, and user-centric.

You are a systems thinker – you can break down complex problems and expose simple interfaces for users completing complex tasks. You see patterns that repeat across the product and are able to abstract them into common interactions.

You emphasize open communication and collaboration with teammates, yet you are also comfortable “flying solo” on projects and initiatives when required. Your written, visual, and verbal skills are unparalleled, and you can articulate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional teams.

You are excited about AI, use ChatGPT daily to get more work done and are comfortable integrating AI and LLM based features into your designs.

Optional: Experience leading teams.

This isn’t the environment for you if

You value “perfect” over “done” and are unable to design, iterate, and ship at an efficient pace.

You overemphasize a traditional design process, involving weeks of research, affinity mapping, rounds of low-medium fidelity mockups, etc.

You are uncomfortable working autonomously when needed and shies away from responsibility and ownership.

You care about being right, rather than getting to the right answer.

You are looking for a way to pay the bills between 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.
