The Consumer Marketing Organization defines consumer vision, product management, business plans and go-to-market strategy for the company’s largest multi-billion-dollar revenue businesses, including Windows, Surface, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Edge browser, Search & artifical intelligence (AI), and Microsoft Shopping, where we are incubating new products and features.

We’re searching for a Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to help drive our Shopping incubation efforts, focused on AI. This PMM will leverage data to deeply understand how AI and Shopping can come together to build value for the user, the retailer and Microsoft. The role is inherently cross-functional, and a key to success is building relationships across Engineering, Business Planning, Research, Marketing and AI-focused virtual teams.

This role has the potential to help shape the future of AI in Shopping – something many consumers do daily. This is a key moment in a competitive space with a large potential for impact and growth.

Responsibilities

Live and breathe customer needs and help drive human-centered design process to ensure solutions are grounded in real world challenges for customers.Work with internal partners, including business planning, finance, research, engineering, and marketing to execute strategies with passion, precision, and excellence.Recommend feature prioritization and product-market fit for fueling product momentum.Conduct market and consumer research, as well as competitive analysis, for how shoppers engage with AI.Develop deep understanding of customer needs, mindset, and value props. Represent customer voice – needs – and unmet needs – to shape product and marketing roadmap.Define market readiness for features, as well as identify target customers and execute strategy for customer journeys.Think creatively about customer/business problems and generate innovative solutions and energy through storytelling.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in businessOR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for collaborating with user research, design, engineering, marketing, business planning and feature teams across Microsoft to deliver best-in-class consumption, creation, and presentation experiences. This team member will be responsible for defining strategies to address user and business needs, developing product roadmaps, and delivering features and capabilities which provide a cohesive experience across the devices people most commonly use.

Passion for engaging with all customers, from IT departments to creative directors, professional speakers, students, teachers, information workers, social media influencers, independent software vendors – and proven ability to identify, design, and deliver product capabilities to address their needs will enable you to be successful in this role.

We would love to meet candidates who are excited to wallow in data to find customer and market insights to inform our product roadmaps and define our investments.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

OR equivalent experience.

7+ years defining and delivering user experience

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
