AACN works to establish quality standards for nursing education; assists schools in implementing those standards; influences the nursing profession to improve health care; and promotes public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice.Position SummaryAACN is seeking a NursingCAS Marketing & Outreach Manager to manage the digital marketing initiatives for NursingCAS, AACN’s centralized student application service. The Manager is responsible for developing and managing CRM campaigns for student applicants. This role maintains the NursingCAS website and leads digital recruitment efforts to drive growth for the national applicant pool. Manages the annual NursingCAS virtual student fair and supports student recruitment initiatives. Develops marketing initiatives to support CAS participation by schools.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a digital marketing plan to drive awareness and increase the use of NursingCAS by colleges and students. Develop strategic content for CRM student and school email campaigns and social media. Collaborate with vendors (e.g., website and retargeted ads) to develop new platform tools to increase engagement. Report on readership, metrics, and campaign success.Collaborate with website and marketing vendors to ensure high visibility and drive applicant growth for NursingCAS and member schools; Manage and implement changes to optimize website.Oversee marketing for NursingCAS events focused on prospective schools and applicants (e.g., virtual fairs, NursingCAS demo webinars, NursingCAS student webinars). Manages social media accounts, monthly applicant newsletter, and national school recruitment event calendar. Serve as project lead for the annual Discover Nursing School Virtual Fair.Develops and maintains web-based resources and marketing collateral to support growth and outreach for NursingCAS, including the NursingCAS website, blogs, and social media. Track and report website and social media metrics (e.g., Google Analytics, WordPress, EMP open and click rates).Promotes contemporary information about nursing education and careers to various audiences and leverages technology to expand the number of diverse and capable students in the nursing school pipeline.RequirementsAACN promotes higher education; therefore, a Baccalaureate degree in communications, marketing, or related field is preferred. Equivalent training and work experience may be substituted for some positions.At least 3 years of administrative or coordinator experience, preferably in higher education or an association. Background with web-based technology and higher education preferred, specifically with admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, membership, or constituent relations.Demonstrated success with leveraging digital marketing initiatives to grow engagement. Experience with CRM platforms, database and website management (WordPress or similar), and social media. Strong writing and editing skills for mass communications are required.Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience with using design and photo software, Higher Logic, or EMP is preferred.Experience with using a centralized or common application system (CAS/WebAdMIT), as well as other higher education admissions software products, is preferred.Additional qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, project management, problem-solving, attention to detail, and self-starter skills. A strong work ethic, and an ability to multi-task and prioritize projects while working independently.
