About the Role
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.As one of the first Product Designers at Peregrine, you’ll help envision and amplify the digital future of public safety. Understanding our user needs is core to this role so you’ll have ample opportunities to see how Peregrine is used in the field. You’ll collaborate with talented Designers and Engineers to define the digital renaissance of public safety and delight users who seldom use outstanding software—transforming complex, data-dense workflows into intuitive solutions.
We’re looking for a deeply curious and inventive Product Designer to shape end-to-end experiences within a vast data platform—from research, to thinking through solutions, to owning the craft and finish of every detail of the product.

About You
Own broadly defined, high-impact design initiatives to deliver a well-executed and highly polished product that will delight users
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work well across Design, Engineering and Business Development teams, defining scope and prioritization to ensure high-quality outcomes
Participate in design critiques with the Design and Leadership teams
Partner with leadership to define the product strategy and craft a compelling narrative that inspires team members toward a unified outcome
Contribute to growing the Design discipline in a company that values exceptional user experience—this includes contributing to our design systems and asset library
We support a flexible hybrid environment that balances in-person collaboration and remote work
What We Look For
10+ years of experience* driving the design of software products while maintaining a relentless focus on the user experience
Exceptional interaction design, visual design and design thinking—with the ability to articulate your thought process
Passion for distilling complex problems into intuitive workflows while maintaining the quality and polish of the product
Ability to excel in a fast-moving, and sometimes unstructured environment
Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch and Origami
Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow from a team of high-performing builders
Strong portfolio of design work that conveys an ability to ship successful products
San Francisco or Washington DC based candidates strongly preferred (hybrid work is acceptable)

Salary Range: $176,100 - $215,200 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
