Here, diversity is a driver of our success.The Opportunity : We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and process-oriented Design Associate, Interior Design with the drive and experience to oversee and elevate our projects globally. As a Design Associate, Interior Design, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of our various assets. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to translate conceptual designs into detailed plans, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of quality and appeal.Duties and Functions:Support the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary design initiatives from ideation through construction completion for a variety of project types including, but not limited to, residential, recreational, hospitality, commercial uses.Assist the Southworth in-house design team in developing design concepts, space planning, and schematic designs.Collaborate with Southworth's planning and design team to improve the design process through in-house production and alteration of plans for internal use and customer-facing products.Interface with external, third-party design professionals.Perform project benchmarking and design precedent research.Participate in conceptual design development activities, including making adaptations and modifications.Prepare design detailed drawings, renderings, and presentations for internal and external audiences.Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes, samples, and manage material selections.Attend and participate in meetings taking notes and documenting decisions and action items.Support the team in maintaining project schedules and budgets, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are utilized efficiently.Conduct research on materials, products, and design trends to inform decision-making and enhance project outcomes.Assist with graphic design tasks such as creating mood boards, presentations, and marketing materials.Interface with procurement and installation focused team members.Participate in onsite and virtual reviews and coordination of design and development projects.Provide timely and accurate feedback on active design projects to ensure standards are met regarding the style, quality, and character of each project's design.Represent Southworth and consistently communicate Southworth Club's Vision and Core Values: Deliver Extraordinary, Build Community, Dare to Be Different, and Play to Win.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Standards:Bachelor's degree in interior design or a design related field preferred but will consider prior work experience in a related field.

2 to 5 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in a design firm setting.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and other relevant design software.Strong understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, and design principles.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design quality.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Strong graphic / digital presentation abilities and the ability to communicate effectively in technical project presentations verbally and in writing.Ability to effectively research materials, codes/specifications as they relate to planning solutions; recommend appropriate selections.Ability to work independently and effectively to complete projects.
