Responsibilities
Design and build software systems that handle billions of requests per day in golang/c++ based on requests from product managers.Debug and fix online system issues based on feedbacks from clients and real time alarms.Optimize systems to reduce CPU/memory usages.Design and build offline data pipeline in SQL/spark to support machine learning models.Design and build algorithms to maintain stability of real time machine learning models.Optimize, train, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models with Python and mainstream machine learning framework.Mine, prepare, cleanse, and analyze structured data using statistical computing languages SQL, Python, and R for metrics creation, root cause analysis, and model preprocessing.About ByteDanceFounded in 2012, ByteDance's mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:Working across all phases of the software development lifecycle for the design, development, testing, and implementation of Linux systems software using C, C++, data structures, or algorithms;Building, tuning, and validating statistical models for regression and classification problems in Python and R;Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services;Designing and implementing large-scale, distributed online software services using programming language Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python;Verifying and monitoring of distributed system using Python or C++, including end-to-end testing, compatibility testing, integration testing, stress testing, and failure ingestion testing; andVersion control of codebase using Pipeline, Bash, or Git.Type: Full time, 40 hours/weekLocation: San Jose, CASalary: $184,662.00 per year
