Job Summary

Supports the mission of the college by using a variety of media to communicate effectively to many different publics including press, general public, civic leaders and organizations. Guides alumni relations efforts. Supports the advancement efforts of the college through public and alumi relations, and event assistance.

Job Duties:

- Plans, writes and distributes press releases, speeches, and presentations to promote the college.- Develops and manages relationships with all media outlets.- Guides the college alumni relations program and builds a culture of alumni pride and engagement.- Coordinates community organizations memberships and attendance.- Handles weather related and crisis communications in conjunction with KCTCS.- Assists with advancement events and gatherings.- Attends Marketing and PR at large peer team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field and one to two years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field and one to two years of experience.

Additional Skills Requested:

Good written and oral communication skills.
