We are based in San Francisco, with offices in New York, Boston, and Chicago. However, we are also open to hiring in the following states: Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Washington.

As a member of the Creative team at Highwire, this intern position will be part of our national design team. The work will include creating assets for various visual communications, including social graphics, presentations, infographics, UI/UX design, illustrations, logos, banner campaigns, style guides, brand development, and more. The position requires an original thinker skilled at forming creative and strategic concepts and bringing them to life visually. Successful candidates will collaborate well across our team and understand the balance and problem-solving required to produce solid creative work that meets our objectives. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate who earned their BFA or BA in Graphic Design, Visual Design or Motion Design. This position calls for a hands-on multitasker with a strong sense of concept development, layout, color, and typography. Your day-to-day will involve helping create eye-catching social media content and assisting the Creative team with enhancing internal branding. You'll find yourself regularly communicating with your direct manager and colleagues, proposing ideas to teams to solve client issues or requests, collaborating with senior designers on developing materials for multi-faceted campaigns, staying up to date with the latest industry design trends and standards, and producing solid creative work.

Key Responsibilities:Graphic design degree or equivalent experience1-2yrs of professional experienceProvide a compelling portfolio showcasing a range of graphic design work and the process behind those piecesDesign and develop projects from concept to productionUnderstand knowledge of fundamental design principles such as color theory, typography, composition, and brandingMaintain files in digital assets management systemStrong project and process management skillsExcellent technical/computer skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritizeStrong attention to detailTeam player yet able to work independentlyFlexibility and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and deadline-driven environmentMust be autonomous and pro-activeDesired Skills/Qualifications:

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)Experience with FigmaExperience in presentation design using InDesign, Google Slides or PowerPointCapable of incorporating feedback and directionCapable of working with and reporting to senior managementAbility to multitask and meet deadlinesHighly organized and detail-orientedFluent in English (speaking and writing)

$18 - $20 an hour

This is a six-month paid internship. Successful interns may be offered full-time employment (we're rooting for you!).
