Job Summary:Our client is seeking a seasoned and imaginative Lead Residential Designer to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for design, an acute eye for detail, and the ability to lead projects from inception to completion. This role requires a combination of artistic vision, technical expertise, and outstanding client management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and Manage Projects:
Oversee residential design projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.Client Collaboration:
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle, creating personalized design solutions.Design Development:
Create and present design concepts, including mood boards, sketches, and renderings.Material Selection:
Select materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures to achieve the desired aesthetic and functionality.Coordination:
Liaise with architects, contractors, and other vendors to ensure seamless project execution.Site Visits:
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and maintain design integrity.Documentation:
Prepare detailed design documents, including floor plans, elevations, and specifications.Team Management:
Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback to support their professional growth.Industry Trends:
Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to continuously enhance design quality.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Associate's degree in Residential Design, Architecture, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in residential design, with a robust portfolio showcasing high-end projects.Certifications:
AIBD Certification is a plus.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.Knowledge:
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.Communication:
Excellent communication and presentation skills.Independence and Teamwork:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Project Management:
Strong project management and organizational skills.Problem-Solving:
Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
