Primoris T&D is seeking a Designer I. The incumbent will work with electrical engineers and other stakeholders to develop utility construction packages from conception through construction. The incumbent should be self-motivated to perform assigned tasks, and take initiative to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Able to apply technical and engineering expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems.Ability to effectively plan, organize, estimate, schedule and monitor work activities.Provide thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.Focus on continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical knowledge, skills and performance.Ensure the maintenance of accurate records and files.Educational & Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution, a 2- year degree or certificate program preferred.Minimum 5 years of tangible experience as a substation designer in the T&D industry.Proficient in engineering theories and principles.Proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.Able to work in cross-functional and diverse teams.Knowledge and understanding three phase power systems.Knowledge and understanding of substation components and their functions.Sound knowledge and understanding of AC/DC fundamentals.Knowledge of design documents and drawings required for distribution design.Good written and oral communication skills.A Point of Contact to your career next step, we are standing by my friend:
