Palmetto Bluff is nestled along the May River in the Lowcountry of South Carolina between Hilton Head Island and Savannah. Job Summary:

A successful Club Marketing & Communication Manager is a career professional who possesses the desire to contribute to the cultivation, development and success of the Club’s communication and marketing.

Work in sync with our Club Special Events Manager, Director of Marketing, and Club Concierge team to create content for print and digital to effectively communicate events and updates to club members. Key role in establishing deadlines for specific area communications as well as crafting articles and gathering relevant news and updates. Fostering a sense of awareness for entire Club team through targeted and specific communication efforts internally, as well as externally to members.

This position will also create a consistent format and promotion process for all Club-related activities, announcements and news in all communications of Club activities, news and relevant information. Manage the creation and communication including emails, Member newsletters, Club-specific lists and monthly emails, print brochures, associate Intranet and member website. Assisting with maintenance and consistent content on the member website to ensure user-friendliness for members. Balancing the use of all platforms including mobile application, text-messaging, opt-in groups and in person for effective niche targeting.

Periodically, the Manager may perform several roles or work with staff in several departments. This is a full time, salaried exempt position. Work schedule will include nights, weekends, and holidays based on scheduled events or other requirements.

Essential Job Functions:Job duties include, although are not limited to:

Create a seamless, clean, clear communication strategy that connects with Palmetto Bluff members and compliments the Palmetto Bluff property-wide marketing plan.Actively participate in the property-wide review of communications content to ensure accuracy, high-quality writing, and clear messaging.Proactively seek out departmental and property content to communicate updates, staff stories, and interesting content relevant to the member experience.Oversight of crafting messaging for critical communications such as emergencies or other important or time-sensitive communications.Create and distribute event surveys as needed.Maintain and update the active calendars on the website and ensure their accuracy with all other print and digital communications.Manage group lists on the website for frequent Club-centric communications and create templates for consistent messaging.Respond and catalog the feedback from the Tidings member inbox and create reports of trends in comments and requests.Responsible for communication budget, including website, publication orders, and graphic design.Collaborate with the Special Events team on holiday, special, and member-focused event marketing and provide additional support to Concierge for clean marketing and promotion.Work cross-functionally with department directors to market content/event descriptions for member newsletters, calendars, and other communications and ensure accuracy between all member communications.Generate interactive content, including videos, special interest pieces, and editorials for multiple club departments.Monitor and troubleshoot the member website and update all areas on a consistent basis with departmental representatives, including menus, calendars, staff listings, banners, photos, and anything else to enhance the user experience and ensure content is up-to-date, accurate, and complete.Assist the Membership Manager in gathering information for the member preference database and assist with communication of preferences across the property, including restaurants, retail, and other services.Create graphic content and imagery for publications, including logo design.Provide content and proofing to the Palmetto Bluff Club Living Member Newsletter.Assist with a communication plan and development of member mobile app and mobile web content.Distribute assets from scheduled photographers for Club events in addition to taking photos at Club signature events and other events as requested.Develop a proofing process for communications with the COO, GM, and Director of Member Relations as well as self to review for typos and content before distribution.Be the voice of the Club. Be involved within the community, painting the Club in a positive light.Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned.Qualifications:

Moderate skills in photography and photo catalogingGraphic Design and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferredExcellent writing and creative writing experience (writing sample required)Experience with social media and digital marketing3+ years of work in marketing collateral and management of print publications3+ years of website management and organizationCreative and resourceful in providing member functions within an established budget.Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years experience in marketing/communications, preferably in a club environmentExcellent written/verbal communication and organizational skillsAble to create well-written communications that are clear, concise, and engaging.Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and OutlookAble to lead and motivate people, excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, support departments, and membersExceptional organizational skills, including content management.Professional and personable demeanorPhysical Demands:
