The client marketing team

is responsible for

the firm’s

day-to-day

marketing efforts in support of our

investment solutions, product

and

fund offerings

. The team

partner

across

investing

, business development

, and

Brand

&

Communications

teams

to

defin

e and create

the right balance of custom and off-the-shelf materials at every stage of the

client experience

. This includes

the

project management and

delivery of effective

commingled

fund launch

marketing

plans

through fund closing

tactics

.

This

candidate should

A

s part of the client marketing leadership team, this candidate will partner

to transform and modernize the client marketing function. In addition, the candidate will lead a team responsible for the end-to-end client marketing experience and fundraising related materials required for the ongoing growth of our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define a framework for Investment Strategy and Asset Class level messaging based on competitive research and best practices relative to opportunities for improvement.

Manage, develop and mentor a small team of marketing professionals focused marketing projects across investment strategies.

Establish and formalize product launch and close plans with an understanding of the defined sales cycle phases and appropriate layering of marketing tactics to drive prospect engagement and capital raise efforts through close.

Maintain a detailed and fluid understanding of GCM Grosvenor’s alternative investment offering including technical knowledge of performance reporting across private and public capabilities and compliance rules in relation to the marketing of our alternative offerings.

Mentor and develop marketing awareness and skill sets across the marketing team, inspiring and fostering a culture of credible marketing excellence and innovation.

Support efforts across the organization to execute strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing client marketing.

EDUCATION,

SKILLS

AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following:

8-12 years of investment management marketing experience, at least two years of alternative investment experience required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a small team, with a strong ability and commitment to the training and development of junior team members.

Deep understanding of the institutional marketplace, investor segments, and alternative sales cycles.

Technical aptitude and the ability to teach foundational knowledge across alternative investments.

Strong understanding of best practices in global investment marketing and distribution channels.

Deep understanding of compliance rules pertaining to the marketing of alternative investments. Although not required, a Series 24 license is preferred.

Deep experience in leading Institutional capital raise campaign development strategy and implementation, using a broad spectrum of modern marketing tactics.

Strong leadership skills, with a roll up your sleeves and make it happen personality and a passion for marketing and innovation.

Strong collaboration skills, emotional intelligence, and a talent for developing trusted interpersonal relationships with senior stakeholders.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with deep experience effectively presenting new ideas and strategic plans to senior leadership and stakeholders.

BA/BS degree in Marketing, or a related field.
