Freelance Associate Technical Designer
(open to work on children's, tween, junior's, or women's). They are dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative products that reflect the essence of their clients brands.Salary/Hourly Rate:$35/hrPosition Overview:The ideal Freelance Associate Technical Designer candidate will work on children’s Technical Design, & will play a crucial role in the technical design process, ensuring that our products meet high standards of quality, functionality, and design specifications. The Freelance Associate Technical Designer communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product developers, and manufacturers, to resolve technical issues and ensure product integrity.Responsibilities of the Freelance Associate Technical Designer:
Collaborate with design and product development teams to interpret design concepts into technical drawings and specifications
Create and maintain detailed technical packages, including tech packs, CADs, and BOMs
Conduct fittings, evaluate garment samples, and provide feedback for adjustments to ensure design intent, fit, and quality standards are met
Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices within the technical design workflow
Qualifications for the Freelance Associate Technical Designer:
Must be open to work on children’s, tween, junior’s, or women’s technical design
Proven experience in technical design within the private label and licensing industry
Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM systems
Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and technical drawings
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
Detail-oriented mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field is required
