The Digital Designer is responsible for supporting the design needs of Baked by Melissa, including the creation of newsletters, digital ads, web pages, interactive posts, and editing videos/gifs. This role requires a high sense of urgency to meet deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail. The Digital Designer works closely with the Digital Marketing team as well as other departments such as E-Commerce, PR, and Product Development teams to deliver an exceptional brand experience for our customers across all touchpoints.
What You’ll Do
Design, produce, and manage interactive digital content including newsletter campaigns, digital marketing needs, display ads, paid social media, website landing pages, homepage banners, and other misc. requests.Be a brand ambassador by maintaining brand voice and guidelines across all assets.Implement improvement to designs through market research, mock-ups, and presentations.Stay ahead of new design trends, functionalities, best practices, and competitor work.Adhere to project calendars and meet deadlines.Prepare digital files for stakeholders including optimization, slicing, and delivery.Crop and resize imagery for use across all digital channels.Other relevant duties as assigned.What We’re Looking For:
Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while under tight deadlines with attention to detail.Ability to communicate expectations, set and meet personal deadlines, follow up on projects with a strong sense of urgency.Demonstrate an understanding of website accessibility and optimization as well as best practices across desktop and mobile environments.Strong ability to design with a clean and luxury-focused aesthetic while following brand guidelines.Should be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Ability to take creative feedback and execute updates quickly.Must be a team-player and be able to interact across departments to communicate with the stakeholders.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Attend and participate in quarterly product photo shoots in North Bergen, New JerseyMaintain a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude to help foster an upbeat work environment.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in digital design3+ years of design experience in a creative agency or in-house settingExcellent typography skills and impeccable attention to detailStrong layout design skillsAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and XD (or similar web design programs).Experience with Premiere Pro or video editing programs and animation skills a plus.Strong organizational skills - able to manage and keep track of multiple working projects.Knowledge of Mac OS and proficiency in Microsoft Office & G suites.
