Junior Environmental Graphic Designer & Production AssistantWarminster, PAOverview:PMDI Inc. designs, produces, and implements Environmental Branding solutions for corporate environments. As a Junior Designer and Production Assistant, you will report to the Senior Designer and Production Manager. Your responsibilities include assisting the Senior Designer with Environmental Branding solutions, and both the Senior Designer and Production Manager with production needs.We will train the right candidate on our full suite of media production equipment, including large format digital printers, plotters, and laminators. This job is onsite in Ivyland, PA.
In addition to a Graphic Design background, we're looking for applicants with an interest in material processes and experimentation. A typical day includes not only design, but material research, and conferring with fabricators and suppliers to have a complete understanding of the projects you'll be working on. Ours is a fast paced and creative work environment that promotes self-growth and exploration. Job Type: Part TimeSchedule: 8 hour shift, 3 weekdays/week (Flex scheduling negotiable)Benefits: Negotiable based on experienceResponsibilities:1) Create and edit design drawings in Adobe Illustrator for interior/exterior wayfinding systems, environmental graphics, installations, architectural film, and other environmental branding solutions.2) Prepare design files for print and production3) Work in the following production processes:- Large format digital latex printing- CMYK color matching- Vinyl cutting- Vinyl laminating- Vinyl and film application4) Assist Senior Designer and Production Manager with all other production needsTechnical Skills and Abilities:1) Experience with Graphic Design or Environmental Graphic Design2) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products3) Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail4) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once5) Strong time-management skills and adherence to project deadlines6) Strong written and verbal communication skills7) Flexibility for a fast-paced and changing work environment8) Ability and willingness to cross-train on all production equipment to support our team9) PC proficiencyExperience:Required:1) An Associate's Degree in Graphic Design or related field of study from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.2) 1 year of work experience in Graphic Design3) 1 year of experience in Adobe Creative Suite4) Portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of design theory and visual communication
