Job summary: Seeking a creative and experienced Textile Designer to join a team in the home soft goods industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing jacquards and/or dobbies and a passion for creating beautiful and functional textiles.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop textiles for home soft goods, including bedding, upholstery, and draperyCreate innovative jacquard and/or dobby designsCollaborate with product development and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producibleConduct trend research and market analysis to inform design decisionsPrepare detailed design specifications and technical drawingsPresent design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedbackRequirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Textile Engineering, or related fieldProven experience in designing jacquards and/or dobbiesKnowledge of home soft goods industry trends and standardsExperience with fabric production processes and materialsProficiency with textile design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, NedGraphics)Strong creative and technical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
