_PURPOSE OF THE JOB_ Under the direction of the Multimedia ContentManagerand the Director of Digital and Creative Services, theMultimediaSpecialistassistswith day-to-day operations related to the Commission’s multimedia and creative serviceseffortswhileprovidingassistanceand supportin executing multimedia projects for internal and external audiences in line with the Commission’s branding, digital media, and external affairs strategies. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, detail-oriented and exercises good judgment in a variety of situations with the ability to handle a range of tasks under pressure in a dynamicand creativeenvironment.A portfolio, reel,orsamplesdemonstratingpast work isrequired. _ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES_ * Support Commissioners and staff in departments across the Commission with projects in but not limited to: Communications,Equity Programming,Community Outreach, Government Affairs, Human Resources, Enforcement, andResearch; * Assistand support with developing, editing, and producing multimedia content for the Commission’sexternaldigital platforms and campaignsas well as internal communications,includingother post-production needs such as graphics, audio mixing, color correction, andtranscription; * Review, cull, and edit,video footage, general photography, stock images, and graphics ensuring digital assets alignwith Commission branding,mission, and digital communicationsstrategy; * Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency. * Assistwithscheduling and coordination of multimedia projects and productions, including managing production timelines and checklists, coordinating principals’ schedules, communicating with Commission staff, and general administrativeplanning andsupport; * Provide secondaryfilmingsupport, including capturing b-roll andmulticamera operationsduring production,includingsetup and breakdown of lighting, camera, audio, and incidentalequipment; * Assistin the loading and transportation of multimedia equipmentand provide support in equipment inventory andtracking; * Track all internal multimedia requests and ensure projects are completed efficiently andtimely; * Organize andassistin managing the Commission’s digital asset management system and library of creative assets;and * Administrative support work as needed, and all other duties as assigned. _KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS_ Maintain the highest standards of personal,professionaland ethical conduct and support the Commission’s goals for a diverse and culturally awareworkforce; * Comfort working with diverse subjects and generating content for audiences with varying accessibilityneeds; * Stronginterpersonal skills,demonstratedpatience, and the ability toworkbothindependently and on ateam; * Excellent oral and written communications skills witha track recordof creativeproblem-solving; * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-pacedand rapidly changingenvironment; * Excellent organizational and time management skillswith theability to follow guidelines for voice, brand, andstyle; * Attend public meetings, hearings, speaking engagements, and/or other productions and eventsthat directlyimpactthe Commission’s communication, marketing, and outreachefforts; * Ability to build constructive working relationships characterized bya high levelof acceptance, integrity, cooperation, and mutualregard; * Ability to accept personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and for meetingexpectations; * Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment forlong periods, including setup and breakdown of equipment up to 60 lbs. * Ability to seek opportunities to resolve problems, achieve goals, or otherwise advance the Commission’s mission;and * Ability to work in and travel to the Commission’s offices in Worcester and/or Bostonas well asproduction sites throughout Massachusetts. _EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE_ Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts Production, Broadcast Journalism,Filmmaking,Communications,Marketingor a related fieldpreferred. Associate’s degree inVideoProduction withstrongportfolioor reelwill be considered. Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 Benefits Package: The Commission is pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package to its employees. The specific components and eligibility may vary based on position classification, hours worked per week and other variables. Therefore, specific benefits for this position may be discussed as part of the interview and offer process. This position is non-civil service. This position is an exempt position.
