As part of a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of experts, you will contribute to the success of New Glenn's second stage by facilitating configuration development and integration throughout the product lifecycle.Success in this role looks like: leading the integrated product team to define the best design solution across the vehicle's structural, mechanical, fluids, and electrical subsystems; coordinating and communicating design changes between affected subsystems; and most importantly, pushing the team forward through key technical decisions and resolution of emergent issues using trade and impact studies.Additional Responsibilities

Manage the integrated design across vehicle subsystemsSupport development of system requirements, flow down, and verification planningLead trade and impact studiesAssist in configuration management and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)Create and manage interface definitions between subsystems with appropriate model definition and control documentsManage inter-module development priorities and expectations as resolution of integration issues between lead engineers and their respective teamsEnsure that the configuration supports major design reviews and integration milestonesMaintain and report on development activity, schedule, budget and technical issuesEnsure manufacturing assembly, integrated test and concept of operations strategies are developed concurrently with the designProvide technical assistance to integration and testing activitiesQualifications

B.S. in Engineering, or equivalentDemonstrated configuration control experience on recently developed large support equipment from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test.Strong design and integration skills using 3D CAD software and visualization toolsStrong interpersonal and teamwork experience working in a highly integrated multi-functional team environmentDemonstrated knowledge of scheduling and planning principles and toolsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired
