Description

NICOLEHOLLIS, an award-winning, large size Interior Design firm seeks a talented and motivated Product Designer. The Product Designer is integral to developing the inaugural home collection for NICOLEHOLLIS Inc. by establishing the scope of the consumer-facing product line, designing new products to meet the needs of a demanding customer and being true to the NICOLEHOLLIS brand. This is a unique opportunity to join an established and beloved brand at a critical stage, offering potential for future growth.

The Product Designer will be responsible for concept development, sketching, and creating detailed technical drawings as well as collaborating with makers to ensure a smooth production process and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, is up to date on market trends & customer preferences, and has intimate knowledge of the product development process of luxury furniture, accessories and art. They should be excited to join a collaborative and diverse team of talented professionals who work on a wide range of home decor products.

We are looking for someone with a passion for design, a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. To be successful in this role, you must have a portfolio of relevant design projects and experience in product design.

Ideally, this role is located in San Francisco and is in-person 4 days a week.

ResponsibilitiesStay up-to-date with current trends and customer preferences;Create innovative and beautiful luxury product (accessories, smalls, decor, soft goods, furniture) that align with our brand;Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design objectives and requirements;Develop sketches and detailed technical drawings;Collaborate with makers/artists/manufacturers to ensure accurate production of designs;Conduct product testing and quality assurance to ensure compliance with standards;Participate in design reviews and provide timely feedback;Ensure completion of product development process from concept to launch.Requirements

Proven experience as a Product Designer or similar role; strong portfolio showcasing previous design workBachelor's degree in Product Design or relevant fieldProficient in design software such as Adobe Creative SuiteKnowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality controlExcellent communication and teamwork skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesAttention to detail, high energy, collaborative, ability to take initiativeGreat taste level and presentation skillsHigh profile launch - must be able to handle pressure and deliver results on timeBenefits
