Job Description
A very reputable MEP Engineering firm is hiring for a
FIRE SPRINKLER DESIGNER
that will work hand in hand with the mechanical engineers and act as their support staff. You will ultimately be helping with design/drafting but will also have the chance to be exposed to and work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment, and dive into helping project teams in the production of engineering drawings and project documents. They are looking for individuals who have a passion and strong commitment to design excellence.
FIRE SPRINKLER DESIGNER Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:Design and layout of fire sprinkler systems.Conduct hydraulic analysis of fire sprinkler system designs.Review construction drawings and specifications.Field survey of both new and existing buildings.Attend on-site coordination meetings.Time management and prioritization of multiple projects at a time.Requirements:
3-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.Certified NICET Level 2 or greater.High proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST programs.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills.Excellent written language and interpersonal skills.Strong mechanical aptitude.
