Opportunity

Reporting to the VP Canada, KBNA the Director - Marketing will lead a team that is responsible for the planning, implementing, and managing the marketing programs and strategic activities across all channels for the Kohler, Sterling, and Hytec brands. This role has the responsibility for overseeing all the marketing activities which include brand management, marketing assets and programs, governance, market research, and localization of creative developed in conjunction with the US. This leader will develop and drive the overall strategy, integration and execution of the marketing functions to drive performance objectives within the Canadian market. This leader will be ultimately accountable for building world-class marketing capabilities and improving the marketing investment ROI, with key deliverables that include channel strategy, campaign management, marketing operations, public relations and KPI tracking.

Specific ResponsibilitiesBuilds solid understanding of Canadian consumer target, with focus on plumbing journey - leveraging understanding into action across communication, innovation, retail and showroom guidance, pricing and promotions.Plan and execute the company's growth in net sales and profits as committed in the business plan. Recommend short- and long-range goals in support of objectives and policies and direct the development of plans and programs for attainment of goals relating to sales, marketing, manufacturing, product development, finance, human resources, and customer service.Leads setting a consumer driven strategic vision for the business in Canada by managing Canadian associates focused on marketing, communications, distributor programs, channel support - including showroom and counter support - and research. Including execution of national and local campaigns focused on driving brand awareness and sales growth.Establish and implement standardized and consistent business processes for the delivery of services and resource utilization in Canada. Hire, coach, train, mentor, support and conduct performance appraisals. Identify key metrics and introduce processes to support the achievement of Kohler Canada goals and objectives.Builds innovation pipeline through US Category teams and executes launches for the Canadian consumer.Manage distributor and dealer co-op programs, price book creation and distribution, and provide field communications to Canadian customers for topics related to the Canadian business.Give guidance and direction to the development of general plans, budgets, and strategies; assess the effectiveness of performance of programs; allocate resources appropriately and evaluate results; and ensure proper coordination with Canada Sales team where needed.Constantly evaluate market conditions, taking appropriate action to enhance and safeguard the company's competitive position. Enhance and leverage the Brand experience to lead and drive strategies in all aspects of the business to create the "ideal" brand experience.Support strategic expansions of the Canadian business including developing the Kohler.ca website and expansion into eCommerce capabilities. Direct the planning, promotion, and exploration of channels to ensure continued and expanded sales of product offering.Develop and execute a new product schedule that maintains the leadership position in the industry and aligns with the corporation's mission statement and guiding principles; approve product development programs for inclusion in operating budgets, allocate resources appropriately, and evaluate results.Represent the business in the marketplace through active participation in a variety of functions and activities; and actively interact with key customers and strive to represent Kohler Canada as an outstanding organization.Leverage Business Team, Canada Sales team, Group and Corporate resources where appropriate to achieve net sales and profit goals. Network with Business Team resources and operations to achieve goals and share best practices.Skills/Requirements

Required

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, Marketing or related fieldEight to ten years of experience in a consumer products company across multiple channels of trade, wholesale or retailFive years of experience with strategic planning and/or budgetingAbility to thrive in a matrix organizationDemonstrated history of success in high accountability, results oriented organization and the business perspective and acumen to continue to advancePreferred

A Master's Degree in Business AdministrationPrevious work experience in plumbing products and/or the building industry,Well-rounded exposure to product development, manufacturing, business development, marketing, human resources and finance are preferred.

The salary range for this position is $148,250 - $191,850. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
