The Creative Project Management Lead is responsible for running individual creative projects and leading a team of project managers, overseeing all projects for their pod’s assigned customer groups or functional areas. The role will work closely with their pod lead counterparts in design and project management to ensure cross-pod communication and project management process consistency, continuously optimizing the team’s process and ensuring maximum project efficiency, collaboration, and customer service.

The creative and content team serves as the initial entry point for their assigned creative requestors. They will provide an excellent level of customer service and consultation to ensure the requestor’s goals are accomplished using the optimal creative solution. The role is accountable for working with partners to prioritize projects, communicate expectations, and meet requirements for all projects in their pod, while ensuring balanced workloads for their pod’s copywriters and designers.

A pivotal function of this role is to build and maintain relationships with key collaborators within integrated media, strategy, and brand, ensuring constant communications and shared understanding of priorities, project timelines, and updates. The lead is responsible for mentoring their team of associates to continuously improve project management skills and collaboration. They have solid communication skills and can effectively communicate complex issues to multiple teams and audiences.

Location:

This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid out of Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of project managers responsible for running all creative projects for assigned customer groups and functional areas.

Connect key collaborators and ensure creative projects are completed on time, on brand, and accomplish brief objectives.

Lead creative projects from request to completion, including initiating, planning, copy, design, media production, printing, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with design and project management pod lead counterparts to maintain consistency of creative execution process, techniques, and tools.

Collaborate with key partners and requestors to confirm project priorities and ensure timelines for the creative team match shared priorities.

For all projects within the pod, ensure SLAs are met or reprioritize low impact projects when volume restricts the team from meeting those standards.

Proactively bring opportunities for new process and communication improvements to creative leadership that lead to improved creative outputs or project completion efficiency.

Support field and production creative requests and find opportunities for increased efficiency and consistency for production projects through self-service tools and automation.

Nurture relationships with key collaborators, including marketing business partners, integrated media channel owners, and brand strategy.

Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, project management, copywriting, and studio teams.

Troubleshoot technical and process related problems and share solutions with the team.

Provide excellent customer service and communication to all creative team requestors and collaborators.

Represent the creative team with a positive attitude, responsible behavior, teamwork, and accountability.

Display strong internal/external customer service skills and receive positive feedback from internal and external clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

5+ years overall project management or related experience (B2B experience is a plus).

Expert knowledge of Workfront project management database required.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) required.

Ability to juggle projects at once in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.

Superior customer service, prioritization, and follow-up skills.

Able to analyze project processes and make recommendations for improvements as well as custom project-level changes that lead to project success.

Extraordinary communication and organizational skills, with an exceptional ability to maintain attention to detail.

Extensive experience writing, consulting, and reviewing creative briefs.

Experience leading complex projects and communicating project direction to other creatives and clients.

Strong knowledge of creative fundamentals with awareness of industry trends and standard processes.

Ability to mentor and develop creative project management associates.

Strong presentation and communication skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain work relationships

Pay Range:

$4,799.70 - $7,791.30

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
