Position Summary: LCG is seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in improving user experience and site functionality while taking in requirements and conducting testing for our web projects, including microsite development.

Key Responsibilities:

Research, develop, and maintain enhancements and features for website pages, content types, and editing tools.Create new page templates to support special events, programs, and other initiatives.Redesign the homepage and embed social media feeds.Develop a mechanism for assigning expiration dates to pages and generate custom reports for expiring content.Implement new page components (e.g., sidebar boxes, content cards, buttons, banners).Improve tools for content editors, including adding new Drupal modules and enhancing flexibility.Implement additional design elements such as accordion options, Futura font, in-line text options, and CK Editor tool customization.Develop and/or implement tagging and metadata methodologies to support better search and page linkages.Implement and optimize the Paragraphs module across the site.Propose and review system capabilities for granting various levels of editing permissions.Track views and downloads of individual files and generate search term reports.Post weekly grants and ensure the logical and compelling restructuring of the subsections.Develop and maintain microsites to support various client programs and initiatives.Create microsites with home pages, multiple-level pages, site-specific search functions, custom headers and footers, and separate repositories for file uploads.Coordinate closely with client communications support contractor to ensure alignment with site structure and content requirements.Deploy improvements and enhancements to the production environment within documented SLAs of receiving requirements.Conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality, usability, and performance standards are met.Document any need for custom development, including planned approaches, costs, and impact or risks to security, privacy, or other site functions.Experience working with government contracts and understanding of open-source solutions.Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or related field.Proven 3 years experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design and development skills.Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with Drupal CMS.Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take in requirements and provide clear timelines for implementation.Experience with testing methodologies and tools to ensure quality and performance.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $89,000 to $121,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
