In this role you’ll work with a dedicated team of product managers and engineers to deliver world class code quality products used by over a million software developers worldwide. Today, Codecov is the leading solution for tracking and improving code coverage for software teams, and we’re looking for a designer with a passion for delivering products that improve developer experience and code quality. This role will directly contribute to Codecov’s existing code coverage project, but will also partner closely with Codecov’s product team and senior leadership to provide innovative new solutions to some of the most challenging problems that exist in software engineering and code quality today. You care more about outcomes vs outputOften find yourself contemplating many different variations of user experiences and validate those through experimentationLove making the lives of engineers and/or your fellow designers easierQualifications5+ years of product design experience, or a portfolio that can trick us into believing so (a link to a portfolio or relevant work is required)You understand and care deeply about user personas like IT decision makers, Engineers, Engineering Managers and their unique needsFrontend experience with HTML/CSS and an understanding of how to design for the webBasic understanding of the software developer and the challenges they faceImpeccable taste and knack for attention to detailExperience collaborating with remotely distributed teamsExperience with conducting user interviews and parsing resultsExperience with Figma or other modern design toolsExperience with reducing complex concepts into approachable workflowsThe base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $80,000 to $220,000. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage).
