region. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.Considering this model, this role could be based in the following cities:• Austin, TX• Dallas, TX• Houston, TX

Position SummaryAs the

Texas Region Interior Design Leader

at DLR Group, you will be responsible for leading, growing, and managing our Interior Design practice. In addition to being able to run and manage interior focused projects, you will support the design culture of the interiors group by communicating process updates and national initiatives and initiating the celebration of success. You will mentor staff and identify their strengths and areas of improvement and align their career paths with opportunities. You will collaborate with regional leadership to engage the right staff for the project type and skill set needed.

The successful candidate will:

Manage the regional Interior Design team by determining design expectations and execution.Direct or coordinate employee assignment of duties, responsibilities, and projects.Oversee or coordinate equitable recruitment and hiring of Interior Design staff in support of all sectors to meet regional staffing needs.Partner with sector and practice leadership to mentor, provide training, and participate in the performance management process of Interior Design staff.Follow DLR Group's integrated design process supporting climate strategies, documentation standards, and quality assurance.Support sector leadership partners in the development or review of contracts and negotiation of service change requests; initiate, review, and approve modifications and scope of work.Lead design excellence through involvement in project work and be engaged in community and/or industry organizations.Required Qualifications:

At least 12 years of industry experience, inclusive of 8 years leading an Interior Design practiceBachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalentNCDIQ CertificationAbility to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple officesExcellent written and oral communication skills requiredStrong client, project management, operational acumen and time management skillsAbility to travel to all Texas offices and for projects as requiredPreferred Qualifications:

Experience with both ground up project work and interior tenant improvement projects across multiple sector types is a plus
