GENERAL SUMMARY:

We're seeking a CG / VFX Supervisor who will be instrumental in executing high-level CG while supporting technical aspects of projects to help maintain an efficient workflow. This role requires a balance of creative and technical expertise, focusing on on-the-box creative execution and often functioning in the capacity of a CG / VFX Generalist. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their expertise in CG and VFX, leveraging their technical skills to support the overall project pipeline. A collaborative mindset and nimble problem-solving abilities are essential for pushing creative boundaries daily.

Please note that this is a HYBRID opportunity, so you must live within commutable distance of Hollywood, California. We require on-site work in our Hollywood headquarters each Wednesday, but additional on-site and production location work may also be required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This role is responsible for the success of the workflow and pipeline of all projects in their department.Execute CG/VFX projects, primarily for commercials, maintaining photo-real rendering and high-quality composites for 3D and 2D deliverables.Involved in planning and setting up CG and VFX jobs for success within their department and responsible for executing that plan with the team.This role will be team-facing. It will be responsible for ensuring that the team is assigned the right tasks and remains on task and on schedule.Collaborate with the Head of Post-Production and the producing lead on each project for budget, project schedule, and resourcing needs.Establish technical specifications for projects as needed, including collaborating to set up animation pipeline workflows.Understand and communicate technical and artistic constraints to producers and team members-lead artists in the technical needs of each project.Anticipate and recognize potential production issues, recommending solutions.Provide technical and creative support throughout project timelines. Be a proactive problem solver; if any technical problem arises in the nature of the work, be able to provide timely support.Encourage collaborative working practices among the team and colleagues.Motivate and develop junior team members, acting as a mentor in technical/artistic aspects.ABOUT YOU:

7+ years of experience as a technically minded CG and VFX Generalist with a diverse reel showcasing various styles and aesthetics.Thorough understanding of techniques and technologies related to 2D / 3D motion graphics, CG, and VFX workflow.Advanced skills in After Effects or Nuke, Cinema 4D or Maya, and Houdini.Proficiency in Redshift, Octane, and Arnold.Advanced compositing skills in After Effects or node-based compositing software (e.g., Nuke).Solid understanding of node-based compositing packages (e.g., Nuke).Python or similar scripting language skills are a plus (Python, Pymel, Qt, PyQt, PySide) and nice to have!Experience using fTrack for project and shot tracking would be pleasant to haveExperience collaborating with concept artists, designers, and VFX teams.Strong communication skills; must work well within a team and articulate ideas effectively.Excellent collaboration skills and a team player attitude.Ability to take direction with attention to detail.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks based on production needs.

Please note that a job offer for this position will be determined based on many factors, including experience, unique skill set, other qualifications, location, job performance (current employees), and various business and budgetary considerations.

Annual base pay range for this position is below. If your requirements fall outside of the below pay range, we still encourage you to apply.

$160,000-$190,000 USD
