Geotab is seeking a Senior UX Content Strategist who will work within our agile operating model to lead, develop, and execute comprehensive content strategies that align with our organizational objectives and end-user needs. As a Senior UX Content Strategist you will ensure an elevated and uniform user experience by creating a cohesive voice and tone across all Geotab products. This role demands a strong partnership with Product Management, Design, Engineering teams and leadership to effectively influence technical decisions to integrate content throughout the product life cycle. Central to this position is the ability to create a systematic approach to content, to enhance both user and employee experience through strategic planning and execution.How you'll make an impactLead and implement user-centered communication strategies and collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams across cross-functional groups to ensure the integration of technical language and user-friendly content throughout the product life cycle, emphasizing clarity and accessibility in product development.Collaborate with all levels of leadership including executives to define and deliver on user experience content strategy.Establish and enforce consistent, human-centered naming conventions for features and controls across the system.Monitor user feedback and analytics to continually refine content strategy and improve system usability.Utilize analytics to inform content strategy, draft key performance indicators (KPIs), and measure performance while ensuring alignment with both customer and business needs.Create and evolve deliverables such as content audits, gap analysis, content maps, content hierarchies, and customer journeys.Act as subject-matter expert and mentor for user experience content strategy.Design and deliver specialized training that promotes the value of consistent, user-centric content writing to cross-functional teams.Advocate for user experience in all stages of product design and development, emphasizing the importance of clear and accessible language.Craft, refine, and oversee a detailed content governance structure, encompassing writing standards, style guides, taxonomies, and content migration plans in accordance with best-in-class product language practices.What you'll bring to the role

5-8 years of experience with UX writing, content design, and content strategy.Experience with copy and content design throughout the customer lifecycle.Experience creating impactful written work and business results - a portfolio showcasing work is considered a strong asset.Familiarity with methodologies like Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup.Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools, especially Figma. Experience with tools like Framer and InVision is beneficial.Experience managing an online documentation repository using a CMS or a static site generator.Ability to produce high-quality content for user interfaces, with a keen eye for detail.Experience leading content strategy initiatives.Experience in presenting project updates and reports to senior management.User Experience (UX) Writing, such as a UX Writing Fundamentals Certification or equivalent is highly valued.Content Strategy Development: In- depth understanding of content strategy principles such as audience segmentation and content modeling, and best practices. With the ability to develop and execute comprehensive content plans that align with business goals.Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions quickly, balancing user needs and business goals. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and setting priorities in a dynamic environment.Product Development Methodology: Familiar with agile and lean methodologies, understanding their impact on content creation and management. Able to align content strategy with product development cycles.User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design: Knowledge of UX design principles, with the ability to contribute to design discussions and ensure content integrates with design elements to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.User-Centric Focus: Strong empathy for users, with the ability to analyze user behaviour and tailor content to meet their needs. Experience with user research and the ability to integrate findings into content strategy.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working seamlessly with product managers, designers, and engineers. Excels in a team environment, contributing to joint objectives.Adaptability: Quick to respond to changes in product features, market trends, and user preferences. Thrives in a fast-paced, agile working environment, demonstrating flexibility in strategy and execution.

At Geotab, we have adopted a flexible hybrid working model in that we have systems, functions, programs and policies in place to support both in-person and virtual work. When working from home, you are required to have a reliable internet connection with at least 50mb DL/10mb UL.
