Cape was founded in early 2022 by Palantir and Anduril alums with deep expertise in privacy and national security. While running Palantir's US national security business, our CEO became passionate about privacy and security on mobile devices. Our mission is to be a force for good in global wireless.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Designer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our mobile applications across both Android and iOS platforms, for government, enterprise, and consumer customers. Your expertise in mobile design will help us create intuitive and engaging apps that meet the needs of our diverse user base, while establishing a strong and distinctive brand identity. This role works closely with engineering and product.
Here are some ways you'll make an impact:Increase our demo success rate with government and enterprise customers, allowing us to multiply our sales pipelineBeat telco benchmarks in consumer onboarding completion rate, resulting in faster growthWork with a UX researcher to understand customer needs and achieve measurable success in usability and engagementIdentify key metrics and features that indicate user engagement and drive measurable improvement in those metrics and feature usage, ultimately boosting user retention and achieving industry-leading app ratingsDevelop a comprehensive design language, including a style guide and reusable components, consistent with our brandReduce the average design iteration cycle time, resulting in faster mobile development overallDesign and prototype new app features that leverage the latest mobile design trends and technologiesAre you the candidate we are looking for?
5+ years of combined experience, with deep knowledge in both iOS and Android mobile design, and an understanding of producing work that minimizes engineering rework to adopt to the other platformExperience and ability to work collaboratively across teams (Product, Marketing, Engineering)Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practicesExcellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain design decisionsProficiency in design tools like Figma, etcAbility to adapt to changing project requirements and feedbackAgile mindset, with experience in prototyping and creating interactive prototypesUnderstanding of user research and past experience with user research platformsPrior startup experienceCompetencies
