About the role:

The Communications Manager, reporting to the Chief People Officer, will play a pivotal role for the organization on our path to becoming a leader in our industry. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional who not only supports internal communication and engagement of our teams but also supports building our external message in strengthening our employer brand. You will play a key role in fostering a vibrant company culture and supporting a high-performing organization through strategic communication initiatives.

In this role, you will also support corporate social responsibility initiatives, demonstrating our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. You will also partner with the P&C and Marketing teams to enhance the candidate and employee experience through compelling communications that showcase the organization's distinctive strengths and offerings as an employer of choice. Your expertise will be instrumental in aligning our internal messaging with our external reputation, ensuring consistency and authenticity across all communication channels.

Additionally, you will support executive communication efforts, helping our leadership team connect effectively with our diverse workforce. Your ability to craft clear, inspiring messages will strengthen employee engagement and reinforce our company's values and vision.

Here's How You Make an Impact:
    • Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and P&C to design and implement an internal communications strategy that supports company goals and enhances employee engagement
    • Develop and maintain standards, guidelines, and procedures for corporate communication
    • Develop, write, and edit internal communications content, including newsletters, emails, and announcements, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with Wave's purpose, mission, values, and employee value proposition
    • Manage internal communication tools including Confluence, Linkedin, and the Careers site
    • Partner with Marketing to maintain alignment between internal and external PR/communications specifically as they relate to our EVP and employer brand messaging and content across various channels including our LinkedIn and Careers Site content
    • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications efforts through surveys, analytics, feedback, and provide reports and recommendations based on data and insights
    • Plan and execute initiatives to foster employee engagement and create a positive and inclusive workplace environment. This includes supporting internal events, meetings, and activities that promote team building
    • Conduct interviews and gather stories from employees to highlight successes, share knowledge, and foster a sense of community
    • Act as a point of contact for urgent internal communication needs, providing timely and accurate information
    • Support the development and management of CSR programs, communicating the value and alignment of these meaningful initiatives both internally and externally


You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following:
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in internal communications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field
    • Familiarity with internal communications tools and platforms
    • Ideally have familiarity with employment branding
    • A passionate storyteller with excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized with strong project management abilities
    • Able to think strategically and creatively
    • High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent collaboration skills with individuals at all levels
    • Be a team player who is willing to contribute outside of your scope on an as-needed basis in the spirit of supporting the total P&C and greater Wave organization
