Our work depends on a Technical Writer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, M.D. As a Technical Writer supporting the Government, you will be trusted with providing technical writing support to document all program deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts.
Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.In this role, a typical day may include:Preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, user documentation, etcWriting and editing technical documentation for all the project's hardware and software requirements to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentationProducing implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; providing field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formatting technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.Standardizing documentation by creating and implementing templates for all document typesProviding technical writing support to document all Infrastructure Services deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts.Maintaining document library to enable ease of document storage, retrieval, updates, and reviewsParticipates in special projects as requiredHigh school & 10+ years/ Associate's Degree & 8+ years/ Bachelor's Degree & 6 + years / Master's Degree & 4+ years of experience required.Minimum of 6 years of related experience preparing and editing technical documentationEffective communication skillsKnowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing, and editingKnowledge of and ability to use various word-processing and desktop publishing software applicationsKnowledge of the organization's products and services, customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user's level of understandingHands-on experience with Microsoft Office SuiteSelf-starterActive TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.Essential Network Security (ENS) Solutions, LLC
