Our Global Film & Media Team has a wealth of experience underwriting global risks for event organizers, performers, producers, and support trades in the entertainment industry. AXA XL is looking to expand their global footprint to the Americas market.Role Summary:

The Executive Underwriter is responsible for working with the Head of Crisis Management to establish AXA XL’s Film and Media Americas unit. This individual will report to the Head of Crisis Management and will be accountable for the underwriting performance, portfolio management, business development and client relationships of the Film and Media line of business in the Americas region.DISCOVER your opportunityDevelop and execute the underwriting strategy for the Film and Media line of business in the Americas region, in alignment with the global strategy and objectives.Underwrite and price complex and large risks in the Film and Media sector, applying sound underwriting judgment and adhering to underwriting guidelines and authority.Manage and grow a profitable and diversified portfolio of Film and Media risks, ensuring a balanced mix of business across products, geographies, and segments.Build and maintain robust relationships with brokers, clients and other stakeholders in the Film and Media industry, leveraging AXA XL’s global capabilities and expertise.Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments in the Film and Media sector, in collaboration with other underwriting teams and distribution channels.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, client needs and emerging risks in the Film and Media sector and provide feedback and recommendations to the Head of Crisis Management.Monitor and report on the underwriting performance, loss ratio, exposure, pipeline and other key metrics of the Film and Media portfolio.Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, policies and procedures, and regulatory and legal requirements.Provide coaching and guidance to junior underwriters and support staff and contribute to the development of underwriting skills and knowledge within the Film and Media team.You will report to Head of Terrorism and Film & Media.SHARE your talentRequired Skills and Abilities:Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management or related field.Extensive underwriting experience in the Film and Media sector, with proven track record of underwriting complex and large risks.Robust knowledge of the Film and Media industry, products, markets, and emerging risks.Excellent underwriting, analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills.Robust business acumen, strategic thinking, and portfolio management skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Excellent relationship management and client service skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other underwriting units and functions.Ability to work independently and proactively, with a high degree of initiative and accountability.Ability to travel as required.FIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
