The NFL Creative team is seeking an experienced Art Director with an insatiable passion for our sport and an acute knowledge of our game and the 32 NFL Clubs. Our world-class creative department acts as an ambassador of the most valuable sports/media brands in the world including the NFL league itself, our NFL tentpole events (Draft, Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, etc.), and our 32 NFL clubs. We eat, sleep and breath the LIVE football experience, as well as nurture our media brands through the off-season. We uphold the NFL content/media brand portfolio across all linear/digital platforms and products including NFL Network, NFL.com, NFL Apps, NFL social channels, partner platforms, and more. Our entire existence is dedicated to elevating the NFL fan experience through supercharged media, content, storytelling, and community campaigns.

The NFL Art Director maintains and grows the NFL's brand on an ongoing basis and supports NFL media franchises 365 days/year alongside a lateral team of other Art Directors that report to the Sr. Creative Director.

Responsibilities

Be the co-ambassador of quality & integrity for all visual elements across all owned/operated and partner platforms (representation of brands, logos, players, key art, etc.)Lead & execute brand projects for our NFL+ product, digital content franchises, internal campaigns, etc.Creation of content/brand style guides and standardsDevelop new concepts, designs, animations, logos and style frames.Contribute hands-on to the project from design through developmentHost design workshops and brainstorm sessions for new creative campaignsContribute to content strategy work with partner groups (digital programming, original content, podcasts, sponsored content, and more)Oversee the creation of league presentations, internal/external pitchesPartner with leads in other areas; producers, content programming, product development and influencing consistency and qualityCreate your own rebrand concepts for sports teams, just for funPlan, Analyze, Evaluate & Execute Motion Graphics for the NFL NetworkDevelop workable budgets, work plans and realistic timetables.Required Qualifications

Minimum 7 years' experience as an Art Director3 years management experienceBachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Media Arts, Design or equivalent education and experience.Strong visual design skills across all mediums (typography, graphic design, motion design,Strong portfolio equally showcasing conceptual thinking, visual design, and storytelling for major brands.Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate and persuasively sell creative conceptsComprehensive awareness of new platforms, technologies, and trends for the NFL across all operations.Master of the Adobe Creative SuitePrevious cross discipline experience that covers interactive / experiential design, creative media arts, immersive and reactive environments, and narrative storytelling for multi-sensory physical experiences.Preferred Qualifications

Previous professional experience in sports media/entertainment environment strongly preferred.Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

An avid NFL football fan/enthusiastSupervisory Responsibility

May manage or provide oversight to other creatives including Graphic Designers, Artists, Motion Graphics Designers, and/or CoordinatorsTerms / Expected Hours of Work

NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per weekHolidays & Weekends as needed.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$115,000-$180,000 USD
