Department OverviewThe global communications team is the voice of Motorola Solutions, bringing to life the company's rich history in innovation and commitment to help keep communities and businesses safe, productive and thriving. Our customers are everyday heroes - from police officers and firefighters to utility workers and educators - and we proudly tell their stories through thoughtful campaigns that span media, thought leadership, employee engagement and other stakeholder communications.Job Description

This is a unique and exciting operational communications role spanning external, internal and executive communications. This position will sit within our Global Communications team, working across it to manage media analytics and to surface key intelligence that can help us tell better, stronger stories. The role will guide strategy and help to influence the direction of the company's media relations initiatives. The position will also work with members of our executive committee and their teams on internal and executive communications for business- and product-related news and events. The role reports to the head of Public Safety Communications.

Scope of Responsibilities:Manage Global Communication team's operational processes including media intelligence platforms, executive media reports and communication planning initiatives. Identify best practices and implement efficiencies across the team to drive team productivity, alignment and culture.Spearhead analytics and intelligence gathering processes across the Global Communications team to support data-driven storytelling and decision-making.Serve as a strategic communications partner to Motorola Solutions' Video & Software organization. Support internal communications on business, product and culture-related news.Develop strategic and compelling content for executive social media programs, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the executive's thought leadership goals and voice.Support a member of the executive committee with internal and external event logistics and preparations.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, business, operations, or similar field preferred.Exhibits polished executive presence and strong judgment.Demonstrates ability to gather, analyze and present data in a compelling manner to inform actionable decisions.Outstanding storyteller with impeccable writing, editing and proofreading skills. Easily translates complexity into clear, concise content.Operations-minded. Has a track record of identifying and implementing new business processes that drive efficiencies and build alignment.Experience working with, presenting to and writing on behalf of senior leaders.Detailed-oriented project manager who can multitask and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organization.Experience with media measurement and media analytics platforms a plus.Experience pitching reporters and securing media coverage in top-tier business, tech and trade outlets a plus.Highly self-motivated and results driven.5-7 years of experience preferred.#LI-MM1
