BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Our products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names.Role:
The Assistant Designer will work closely with the Associate Designer & Sr. Designer on the development of the dress line.ResponsibilitiesThe assistant designer will support the associate designer with the design process from initial inspiration to final prototypeResponsible for market trend research, hand sketching, computer flat sketching, garment specifications.Create mood boards, design concepts, presentation boards for meetings, mock-ups, color-ups, inspirational photosReview selling with associate designer each week to make sure we are consistently updating reorder bodies.Take direction from upper management to help Identify and update best sellers, incorporating new concepts and prints to create a strong brand identityAssist in creating tech packs for overseas garment developmentCreate design sheets for both development styles, on order styles and style adds.Provide suggestions for color ways, fabric, and trim direction.Requirements2-4 years
of design experienceVery strong hand sketching skillsPossess working knowledge of garment constructionProficient in sketching flats with Adobe Illustrator & procreateSolid understanding of Adobe PhotoshopProficient with Microsoft ExcelStrong written and verbal communicationSelf-starter and proactive workerEnthusiastic and team-oriented*Examples of
