Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob Description
As a Mechanical Designer, you will participate in hands-on design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for Industrial washers. You will be utilizing the company's vault/design library, learning and adhering to company standards. Your work will mainly be with Diesel Engine manufacturers, with current and upcoming projects with different OEMs and Tier 1's. You will be expected to work 40-45 hours weekly with a hybrid schedule and up to 5% travel visiting customer sites.
Hard Skills
Mechanical Engineering - 8 years of experience
Proficient in SolidWorks
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience in the automation space
Soft Skills
Ability to learn and follow company standards
Ability to work in a team
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Southfield, Michigan and some days remote.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a hybrid schedule with the possibility of working from home three days a week after an initial 30-day in-office period. The Mechanical Design team consists of five designers based out of the office. The company has a total of 70 employees.
