Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.You’re sooo Benefit!The Graphic Designer is a creative thinker and doer who develops Benefit DNA-driven three-dimensional products, merchandise, PR press sends, and package designs. A storyteller at heart, the Graphic Designer creates the first touchpoint for our product worlds. Executes designs from concept to execution, to create all global product and packaging designs for Benefit Cosmetics. Supports business goals by establishing high-quality visual solutions that ignite joy and enhance the consumer experience. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, to ensure excellence in execution.What You’ll Do:

Implement branding and brand DNA through design across all product packaging.Create mood boards, color palettes, layouts, and illustrations for packaging artwork.Develop and present digital mockups and renderings, illustrating concepts.Update design guidelines, create product style guides, and exude Benefit DNA.Manage timelines from project concept to completion, working cross functionally with Legal, Copy, Marketing, and other key players, to ensure deadlines are met, based on business needs.Navigate Accolade (project management software) and Proof HQ (internal packaging review software), to manage and route packaging through required channels.Ensure electronic files are properly prepared for output, including photo retouching, color correcting, and layer separations.Follow through on proofing stage of print projects by providing match prints, color targets, color approvals, and clear directions to suppliers, indicating any adjustments needed.Research and stay current on the latest sustainability innovations, competitors, and packaging trends of the global beauty industry, to create the most innovative and effective designs possible.Qualifications:

Portfolio demonstrating experience in traditional digital design and technology.Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree, or equivalent work experience.Possesses a thorough understanding of concepting, packaging design, creating physical mock-ups, and print production with a strong eye for detail and color consistency.Experience working with internal client groups (i.e. marketing and other cross-functional teams) to identify needs and present solutions.Knowledge and interest in innovative and exciting new eco-friendly & sustainable packaging solutions.Experience working with in-house packaging engineers and understanding of primary component development a plus.Knowledge of packaging materials and printing/finishing options a plus.Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, and any graphic design tool.High level of proficiency using Macintosh systems.Strong grasp of design involving typography, color, layout, and hierarchy as it relates to product packaging.Schedule:

Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly.This position is based out of our Global Headquarters corporate office in San Francisco, CA.The target salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
