Job Description

As a Channel Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic go-to-market initiatives. In this role, you will lead and manage merchandising aids, samples and displays in the channel. You will also collaborate with the brand merchandising aids team on the development of new merchandising aids, samples, and displays that drive growth and expansion of the company’s brands, products and services.

Position location: Hybrid (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) out of one of our key office locations in: Maumee, OH or Brookings, South Dakota.

The Channel Marketing Specialist will provide strategic insight on the development, execution, capacity planning and inventory management for product samples and displays. This role will lead the S&OP process cross functionally with marketing, manufacturing, and materials planning. You will participate in the new product launch process, providing important channel feedback in developing displays, samples and other initiatives that support the launch of new products with channel partners. This role will prepare experienced specialists for future growth in the marketing function as you incorporate strategic planning beyond day-to-day and project execution.

YOUR ROLE

Lead channel program strategy and collaborate with sales to drive placement of new product displays, samples, and merchandising aids for Outdoors brands.

Responsible for managing the S&OP process to align marketing and manufacturing teams on capacity and prioritization.

Review and make forecast recommendations on an annual basis to manufacturing, finance, and merchandising teams.

Drive sample vendor relationships, lead portal site optimizations and processes for better customer experience.

Responsible for managing project budgets and marketing spend for assigned projects.

Prepare and present project updates to internal and external project stakeholders.

Provide channel marketing support to E-commerce teams.

Manage outside agencies and vendors as needed.

Support other marketing and sales initiatives as needed.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or 3+ years’ experience in marketing or related field.

3+ years of experience in brand or channel marketing, project management or merchandising.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong project management skills managing both traditional and digital-based marketing tools.

Ability to work with complex projects, collaborate with other departments, with attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Background in both B2C and B2B (channel) marketing, a plus

Experience in building products category

Experience with Project Management and Marketing Production

Creative & Strategic mindset that works well in fast-paced cross-functional team environments.

Strong data analytic skills using forecasting, competitive analysis, and sales data to develop effective marketing
