Role Purpose

The Senior Product Communications Manager is responsible for developing Mars Veterinary Health’s communications that support the Digital Change Management Strategy and Communications Plan as it relates to product functionality for Voyager Health. This role is responsible for creating and publishing content and supporting communication efforts including emails, website updates, videos, and other digital marketing related projects.

The Senior Manager will work closely with the Digital Change Management, Training, Learning & Development, Corporate Affairs, Operations, and Information Technology teams and senior practice leaders to create relevant technical content and support adoption of Voyager Health product functionality.

As an integral part of the Digital Change Management team, the Senior Product Communications Manager is responsible for the growth of our internal Mars online presence and content. You will join a team that highly values collaboration, learning, growth and finding new solutions.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.

Deliver customer service focused on business units, centers of excellence and business partners.

Support the implementation of Digital Change Management Strategies through communications plans that support the adoption of new systems, processes, organizational changes, strategic objectives, and overall future vision.

Creates content specific to change management personas contextualized by process taxonomies. Serve as a liaison to help coordinate and manage broader Mars workflow objectives.

Develops and/or incorporates efficient corporate communications and applies standardized and best-practice communication methods to ensure maximum leverage of strategic messaging and other pertinent information across Mars Veterinary Health or to selected audiences within the organization.

Develops and executes campaigns across various internal media channels and modes, including a communication website.

Works under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Day-to-day platform management including brand reputation management

Generates content for key brand initiatives and in support of Mars Veterinary Health as an industry leader, aligning with brand voice and aesthetic.

Creates periodic content calendars comprised of regular postings.

Oversees creation and distribution of email campaigns.

Stays abreast of new social media trends and identify areas of opportunity.

Writes, creates, edits, and publishes engaging and relevant content including texts, graphics and video.

Builds digital content as it relates to email communication and newsletters, and sections of the Communications portal.

Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.

Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.

Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, IT, or related field is required.

5-8 years’ of experience in planning, managing, and executing communications within large, global enterprises is required.

Expert knowledge of social media channels and best practices for copy, video, etc. across those channels is required.

Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple large scale change management projects from initiation to delivery is required.

Oversee creation and distribution of email campaigns related to product functionality is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar, punctuation, and copywriting specific to social and web content is required.

Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, intercultural collaboration and providing feedback is required.

Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.

Health care or clinical end user background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, build consensus, and influence decision-making.

Experience working with Agile or DevOps methodologies and implementing cloud data architecture and data management processes is preferred.

A robust understanding of technical terminology and software development is required.

Ability to translate technical jargon into consumption by clinical end user is required.

Salary: $118,796 – $178,193
