Creative and Digital Lead (Principal Creative Design)

Sabre, Southlake, Texas, United States, 76092

Sabre Corporation is a leading technology provider to the global travel and tourism industry. Headquartered in Southlake, Texas, USA, Sabre operates offices in approximately 60 countries around the world. At Sabre, we make travel happen. Positioned at the center of the business of travel, our platform connects people with experiences that matter in their lives. Today, Sabre is creating a new marketplace for personalized travel. It is our people who develop and deliver powerful solutions that meet the current and future needs or our airline, hotel and travel agency customers. Join our journey!

We’re looking for a talented, versatile, and collaborative Creative and Digital Principal who will drive creative strategy for Sabre Travel Solutions. As an integral part of the global marketing team, this a role with an exciting and varied scope of consultancy and design work. No single day will be exactly the same; but you’ll spend some of your time providing creative strategy, guidance and feedback on marketing deliverables from across the organization, and some of your time rolling up your sleeves to create visual assets for social media, blogs, events, campaign landing pages, customer presentations (and more!) whilst continually thinking of ways we could be elevating our brand through new approaches.

You’ll lead relationships with our extensive global roster of freelancers and agencies, providing guidance and direction and ensuring they are delivering consistent and impactful work across channels. And as brand guardian, you’ll keep them updated with new assets or guidelines as needed.

We’re looking for someone with superior core creative skills who’s willing to be hands-on, but also has the ability to consult and educate other marketing team members with creative design best practices – ultimately striving to elevate our brand presence at every touchpoint.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in owning and driving digital projects, in particular for web and mobile - bringing a solid understanding of UX and digital marketing best practices to the table.

The Travel Solutions Marketing team is a highly cross functional team, and we hope to fill this role with someone who is collaborative, inspiring and proactive.

Role and Responsibilities

Core responsibilities:

Be the first point of contact on all creative requests: agreeing approach, budget alignment and coordinating execution including briefing and overseeing approvals when required.

Collaborate with campaign managers, customer and product marketing managers to provide creative guidance and visual strategy for campaigns, events, and product marketing materials across multiple channels.

Work closely with the web team to ensure our web presence is consistent with all other channels and reflects our position as the leading technology platform in travel.

Provide consultancy, guidance and design support to the wider business when required.

Develop and maintain creative guidelines, playbooks, and templates for social, videos, events, and overall brand visual identities; and then educating and training internal stakeholders and external creative partners to ensure visual brand consistency across all marketing materials and touchpoints.

Review and provide feedback on creative assets from agency and freelance partners, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with brand guidelines.

Help evaluate, select and onboard new creative partners and freelance talent.

Concept, art direct and design marketing material including, but not limited to, websites, social ads, trade show booth graphics, infographics, and digital banners.

Convert rough ideas into visual prototypes (e.g., sketches, comps, prototypes) to illustrate concepts for creative reviews.

Manage many of your own projects simultaneously, setting priorities, deadlines, and expectations and communicating those with internal stakeholders.

Present creative concepts and strategies to internal stakeholders and partners, articulating the rationale behind each approach.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to inform creative strategies and ensure the brand remains relevant and cutting-edge.

Ensure that digital deliverables are optimized for user experience, engagement and SEO.

What's in it for you?

This is truly a role where you can make a huge impact – as the main brand guardian, you’ll provide true creative leadership and inspiration —setting the bar for design and creative excellence and taking the Sabre brand to the next level.

Opportunity to work with and manage a global network of agencies and freelancers as your extended creative workbench – tapping in to their skills and resources when needed.
